Amut Extruder Supplied to Broadway Colours

Back in 2013, Broadway colours purchased an Amut EA75 extruder as part of a major expansion programme. Now, with the installation of a second Amut EA75, Broadway Colours has been able to greatly increase its supply of powders to the rotational moulding industries.

Back in 1997, Broadway Colours started life as a supplier of colour masterbatches  – still a very important part of their business. In 2011 the company started to supply powders to the rotational moulding industries and, a couple of years later, purchased their first Amut extruder. For Broadway Colours, the Amut extruders with their 350kg/h output, high performance and ease of maintenance are housed in the rotational moulding powder facility and are both used as compounding lines.

Joe Maynard is the Managing Director of Broadway Colours: “We invest a lot of time with our customers to absolutely ensure that we are able to perfectly match the specified colour. In fact, we are the only roto-powder manufacturer in the UK to produce roto molded cubes to demonstrate the quality and consistency of our products. Our clients expect a high degree of service from us and the Amut extruders are an important part of that process.”

The Amut EA series of extruders consists of forty four different models offering clients the choice of screw diameters ranging from 20mm to 180 mm. Even though Amut has opted for a modular construction to keep the prices as competitive as possible, each machine is built specifically for that client’s requirement and then installed by an Amut technician working with the client’s maintenance team which is why the EA range is so easy to maintain.

Kevin Horne is the managing Director of Renmar: “We are delighted to be involved with Broadway Colours as part of their expansion plans. Theirs is a highly specialised sector of the industry which requires an incredible level of accuracy; that they have chosen to run with Amut is a great endorsement.”

With the Amut policy of producing machines with high quality components, a user friendly interface coupled with low maintenance costs it is easy to see why the range is gaining momentum in the UK.
